File Supply Guides

How to Supply Your File(s) For Printing?

Pease read these guidelines before supplying us with your files. Please note that your order may be delayed if your artwork doesn’t comply with these guidelines.

Printing Tips

  • Most file formats are accepted. If the file is an image type, it should be supplied at 3000dpi, at the actual size needed.
  • Files can be sent via email to info@southerndigitalprinting.com, or by posting us a USB stick.
  • Please use www.wetransfer.com to send files larger than 10MB.
  • For most printing you have the choice of gloss, silk or matt paper.
  • Please supply files with a 3mm bleed (i.e. the background extended 3mm beyond the page edge) and with all text a minimum of 5mm in from the paper edge. This will allow us to trim your printed output without losing text or important images.
  • To avoid any nasty surprises when you see your final job, we’d strongly recommend converting your artwork to CMYK before sending us your files. If you have created your designs using the RGB colour space, you will have been working with brighter, fluorescent colours which aren’t easily reproducible in print.

Finally, proof read your artwork! Checking your spellings and text before sending us your files for print is vital and could save you from having to re-order!

If you have any queries regarding the supply of artwork, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
